Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
These are two guys with a lot of pride - and each seems to think their sh** don't stink. Mitchell, as an analyst, has always struck me as arrogant ("I played the game, so you can't tell me anything"). Clinton, meanwhile, seems to have a firm believe that "Clinton knows best". Inevitably, with their personalities, they are gonna knock heads.
Also, I was listening to Zorn's show on 980 at 4:00. He said he read Clinton's comments to the entire team and, essentially, told the team to suck it up and move on, that Clinton was still a Redskin (in the euphamistic sense) and still moving in the same direction as the team. Asked if he let the lineman vent any frustrations about the comments, Zorn said - I didn't let anybody talk, this ain't Oprah.
Portis' comments with the team were aired and put aside. Gotta tell you, I like Zorn's methods more and more.
