Consider these two scenarios.
1) Brunell goes 7-20, 75 yds, no ints, no tds. Combine this with a 3-15 3rd down conversion rate (very generous here).
2) Ramsey goes 18-37, 217 yds, 2 ints, 1 td. (most recent stats)
With (1) you basically have one way to pick up yards to put you into scoring position; Portis. Brunell did not have many Ints, but how many 3 and outs did he have? With (2), you have more Ints, but you're moving the stinking ball down the field. I can deal with the Ints by thinking of them as being equivalent to 3 and outs with punts with Brunell at the helm. Yes, usually an int gives the opposing team better field position, but with the #2 defense, that's a risk I'm willing to take.
You can't score if you can't move the ball. Right now, Ramsey seems to be the only QB (not counting TH) that can consistently move the ball.
