Once we're having pass pro troubles, throwing the screen is not a bad move: otherwise, one of your main playmakers never gets the ball at all.
I think he should have run Portis more in retrospect--I'm not sure he was really shut down in that game--but I can see wanting to throw against the cowroids secondary.

I see what your saying but the run sets up the pass. But if they are not goin down field and the other team knows we are run heavy then the db's are up on the w.r. making the screen impossible. Its obvious J.C. doesnt have to much faith in the other receivers. Maybe I should call the plays next year.
