The funny thing is the perfect position for Jansen right now might be left guard. Few of us doubt the fact that Jansen is a mauler when it comes to run blocking (a fact that many Jansen bashers know but fail to mention when talking about replacing him) however a lot of us will agree that he has struggled in pass protection. Left guard is a position that is important in the run game (though not as important as right guard) and at the same time the left guard usually gets the most help from the center when it comes to pass protection. Of course I don't know what the teams plans are for Kendall and Rhinehart after this year but I do think it's interesting to consider the fact that Jansen might be a perfect fit at LG.
