He gave quarterbacks a purpose in the blossoming NFL and to imagine a 3 way player these days is just unthinkable.
He was the Gretzsky, Jordan and Tiger of his time and the NFL owes him a huge debt of graditude. Watching his form in the old films, it is amazing to think he was the innovator of the forward pass. What would football be without it?
