I use the '92 season because that was at a time right before the Redskins went into a major overhaul with a new coach, and an aging team at the dawn of the Free Agent Era. The team was old, had peaked, and was about to run out of gas. 4 and 3-win seasons followed. The Skins were officially in rebuilding mode.

The combined number of years of that offensive line in the NFL was 41 years. The number of years for this offensive line with Samuels, Kendall, Rabach, Thomas, and Jansen? 49 years.
Well I can honestly say I don't think we're in rebuilding mode as a team today. We need to rebuild two-fifths to four-fifths of the o-line and add 2 or three players (max) on defense and we're a good playoff team next year. I believe it. I guess if we get crafty - Jansen has some kind of undiscovered talent at center(?) - and Rhinehart grows into himself we could get away with just two very solid additions on the line and be vastly improved. Maybe.

But yeah clearly our o-line is friggin ancient by NFL standards.
