This thread just serves to fuel rampant speculation started by examining one little out clause in his contract. There's no point in discussing it in the context of the Redskins if you know anything about Parcells' past.

Fair points, however I stand by my thinking that it is worth a discussion. I wouldn't say anything that's been mentioned here since this thread was started would fit the label of "rampant speculation."
No offense, but whether or not it's "worth" a discussion really isn't your call. If you don't think it is, feel free not to discuss it. A big chunk of this site is based on "what ifs" and speculation.
Again, I personally never said I expect him to opt out of his contract, nor did I say I think we should or will obtain his services. I just said financially it would be a smart move.
I agree that there's an overwhelming chance he won't end up here or anywhere else but Miami next year. But he
could leave Miami if he wanted, and nothing is out of bounds with Danny. So I started a thread.
