Chris Simms is a prototypical WCO QB who learned the system under John Gruden, who is is probably the best developer of QBs in the NFL outside of new england. He put up respectable numbers as a starter in Tampa before he was injured. He was sacked a ton, but it was due to being behind one of the worst offensive lines in the history of football. jim Zorn could do much more with Simms than he ever could with Campbell.

There may be a better answer out there besides Simms, but Jason Campbell is most certainly NOT the answer. (Another option would be signing Garcia as a FA, but I think he may retire) If we don't trade Campbell in this offseason, he'll walk as a free agent when his contract is up and we'll get nothing for him. Thats a fact.

and I KNOW just because someone is a FA, it doesnt mean we can sign them, but by cutting the players we mentioned, we should be able to make offers to Haynesworth and Asomugha that they can't refuse. Unfortunately, I think haynesworth will probably resign with Tennessee - i'd put the odds of him hitting FA at only about 30%, but if he hits FA, we can and should overpay for him.
