true, as far as those picks go, I agreed with getting Devin Thomas 100%. At that point, he was by far the best player to take who filled a need. And I agree with the Fred Davis pick, too. The Eagles took Laws (the player we were targeting) right before our pick and Davis was a great pick for a WCO that was supposed to utilize alot of 2TE sets... both those first two picks had far too much value to pass up... but (according to JLC), our own doctors told Cerrato that Malcom Kelly had horrible knees and his NFL career would likely only be 3-4 years. Many teams had taken him off their board ENTIRELY. With our last 2nd round pick, it was inexcusable to pass on Quentin Groves (DE), Jason Jones (DE), and Mike Pollak (OT/OG).
neither of the DEs did alot this year, but If we had taken either of them, we could have helped ourself a ton since we likely wouldnt have felt pressured to trade this years 2nd and next years 6th to Miami for Jason Taylor when Daniels got hurt. If we had taken Pollak... man oh man that burns me every time i think about it. The dude started 13 games for the Colts this year... the colts gave up less than 1 sack per game, and the OL was comprised mostly of backups due to injury... incredibly impressive.
Oh well, i'll stop whining. woulda coulda shoulda
