haynesworth will be 27 when he starts his 8th nfl season this year. he's been double teamed most of his career and that sort of beating takes its toll. investing in a 27 year old defensive tackle is like investing in a 30 year old running back or 34 year old quarterback. you may have a good year or two but you don't want to make a long term commitment to him.
