YEah it rally isn't rocket science.
We're 10-6 at worst last year with a decent line. I challenge anyone to argue that. That's not to say that there weren't other places where improvment could have been made, even major improvements, but, plain and simple, our line lost us at least 2 total games and maybe more.
Our performances at the beginning of the year last season were riddled with holes yet we won games. Then, at the time when a team trying to put it all together and patch those schematic/chemistry holes should be making progress and getting better, our linemen became close to the worst line in football. At best ineffective and at worst plain awful they derailed a playoff season. GIve us the 10th best line in football last year and imagine how it opens our offense up. It's why we're all dying to draft a Tackle with a pulse.
Everyone on the Path arguing about who our QB should be or about our depth at LB or even who plays LDE don't realize that those are arguments to be had once our OLine, the freaking foundation of the offense, is back on solid ground. Until then it doesn't matter if Campbell, Cutler, Elway, Montana or Brady is the QB. None of them brings home a winning record with our OLine last year. The fact that JC didn't end up dead or throwing 17 ints in the second half actually encourages me some. It can't get worse for him this year....can it?
