Quick background..34, from Norfolk/Va Beach area, been a 'Skins fan since the Pardee days. Had posters of Joe Lavender and Kenny Houston on my wall as a kid. My Mom and grandfather grew up near DC and are die-hards... he since the days of #33. Old school!

Anyhow, as far as the jersey number range/position relationship is, here's what the NFL has mandated as the official system. Listed is the primary range and then a secondary range for some positions if a number in the primary range isn't available.

QB, P, K: 1-19
RB, DB: 20-49
LB: 50-59 (90-99)
C: 50-59 (60-79)
G, T: 60-79
WR: 80-89 (10-19)
TE: 80-89
DL: 60-79 (90-99)

Since it looks like Iffy just isn't coughing up his number, here's what is available right now (could change fast) for Portis... 27, 31, 35, 36, 37, and 39. Walt Harris and perhaps Taylor would also be picking from that group. Interestingly enough, as of right now, if Winslow is the pick, he'd have no number to pick from in the 80's. They're all gone.
Good info...Welcome to the Warpath!
