I think that any improvement he would be to Daniels/Wynn is largely irrelevant since he won't be playing their position. Neither of those guys were ever going to play on third downs, when it is expected that Orakpo would get most of his playing time in 09. I think we worked him out at LB to see if he had any value added in addition to rush end. If we had thought of him as a LE type, there would have been no reason to try him out as an LB at workouts.
It seems to take a year or so to learn how to rush the passer from the left side anyway (since the fundamentals are reversed), so I would expect Daniels to be able to pressure the QB more often from that position than Orakpo, at least in 2009.
