The law says something like if a trade name is offensive then they will not approve and protect the trade name. So if they win that battle then anyone could use the Redskins name as it would no longer be protected by the goverment. So even if the skins lost the case Dan could still use the name and logo stuff but that would not be smart because so could anyone else who want to sell skins stuff.
