I guess the way I took it was he felt like he didn't work with the newbies enough last year. That's not really excusable when you use two of your first three draft picks on a position of such need.

Sounded more to me that he was saying that he wished they could've gotten more involved in game plans, not that he didn't get them ready. Of course you'll be hard pressed to find a position coach saying he might have slacked off.
