I think that's why people are getting so emotional over this. His dying is so clearly an epochal moment in the lives of those of us of a particular generation that you can't help but think about how old you've gotten, and about how Michael was a constant throughout the various stages of your life. It's one of those things that just brings up emotions that are hard to describe, and which you don't feel everyday. I never would have thought I would be so affected by his passing but I have been.
