I understand your point. I guess I should clarify mine. After his lay-off, with no NFL caliber training not only is his 40 going to be down, but his explosiveness (10-yd, shuttle, etc.) will be to. His greatest asset, foot-speed & explosiveness, is now at best a slightly above-average level for skill postions (WR,DB). He is not at the fastest, quickest player in the league level. Without the speed advantage he had before, he will not be successful unless he radically improves & changes the other areas of his game. At 29 and all other factors considered, while not impossible, I believe him being productive in the NFL is highly unlikely.
