Unlike everyone else, I don't think Gibbs expected to come in and turn the franchise around in one year. I believe that he is trying to straighten out what 5 years of DS's meddling has done. Flash does not necessarily win in the NFL. Continuity and dominance in minute details of the game puts Ws on the board.
Look at the difference between now and this time last year. I supported Spurrier every day he was the head coach, but the difference is like night and day. The players didn't see the franchise going anywhere last year. The players have rallied around Gibbs.
No, Gibbs has not come back into the league and ripped it up. He has shown some rust, but to think that he doesn't have a plan or the know-how to right the ship is absurd.
