I think that the turnover rate was probably more reflective of OSU's dominance over the teams they played: if they were the best team on the field every week, it makes sense that they were going to force more turnovers than their overmatched opponents.
In that case, it's probably more about his defensive philosophy than anything else. I guess the success of the team defense speaks for itself.
