That's a real possibility Lotus. I think it's also quite likely Jones just can't get what he wants, which is another longterm cash cow contract, and so he's just waiting it out hoping someone gets desperate. Well I wouldn't give him a longterm contract either...but throw a big chunk of change at him for one year because reality is we have to seriously address OT after this season. It's up to the FO to convince Jones and his agent this is a good move for him too...convince the other FOs he can still play so he has a shot at one last big payday contract after the season.
...all conjecture to be sure. It's just as probable the guy can't even run right meow and only the pros now it.
