HOW WOULD YOU TRY TO FIX THINGS??

Well the offensive line needs time to gel with Rinehart in at RG. He, personally, did not look bad (although, when I watch the tape, if they were covering from him right from the get go...), but there was certainly an overcompensation factor by Rabach and Heyer.
So what do you do to buy time for the offense if you can't run the ball? You either have to be strong on defense, or you lose a bunch of games to questionable teams.
Is the defense fixable? I don't know. The secondary is just awful right now. It's the worst unit on the entire team. The receivers have passed them.
If the defense has top ten ability hidden somewhere in it, you can salvage the season. If it's just 2006 all over again, we probably have to watch a struggling offense and an underachieving defense the next four weeks through the bye.
If the offensive line stays healthy, they should gel and we can get a lot better in the second half of the year. But you have to win games in the intermediate, and well, Detroit just kicked the crap out of us.
