Re: Greg Blache needs to be held accountable!!

I have had this name 'defense wins' since day 1 of joining the Warpath.net.
I wanted 'defense wins championships', but this sight would not allow that many letters for my WP name.
I do not claim to know more than everyone else, but i have played and seen enough football in my 44 years to know a great defense when I see one.
This is not personal. I do not like Blache as a coach. I do not like his schemes. I do not like how he runs a defense. We have the talent on our defense to at least be a good defense, but we are under-performing. That falls on the coaches.
One major thing that jumped out at me on Sunday while switching to the other games during commercials of the Redskins game: The dominate defenses (Steelers, Giants) run stunt or twists plays between their DT's and DE's on obvious pass plays. They were doing it on almost every pass play with great sucess. We did not against the Lions.
I went back and looked at some of the the Lions game (on dvr) and our d-lineman ran straight at the Lions O-lineman trying to bull rush them with very poor results.
I tried to find a play where one of our DT's and DE's ran a twist/pick play and i could not find one. I did not go back back and watch the entire game, but I was amazed that I was having trouble finding one twist play.
This is just one example of a poorly run defense. Blache's defense is unimaginative and simple. We do not dictate to the offense, we read and react. It is difficult for me to watch our defense right now.
This teams level of play has regressed from the playoff team Gibbs and co. left Vinny and Dan. That is obvious. The same way our team regressed from the Norv team to the Spurrier teams. Since the short winning streak early last year, we have slowly gotten worse. Lions game was the wake up call.
