and another good point is when you transfer, the credits transfer but not the actual grades. so if you have one or two bad grades that might keep gpa down, that all goes away and you have a fresh start. if you get a bad grade after tansfering it doesn't affect the overall gpa as much (because you have more credits accumulated) as it would in you first year of college.
