I agree he was very well respected in his day, but frankly I just don't understand why he came on board. He's pushing 70 and has been out of football for what, 4 or 5 years now? After coaching for so long I can't imagine he's hurting for money, and we're a total mess of an organization. Just seems really strange to me.

Also let's not forget, despite a shining resume as a non-playcalling assistant, his record when actually dialing up the plays is paltry at best.

Another head-scratcher by our front office.
