The good news is that I don't feel completely hopeless about our offense like I did in the last few games of last year. Last year, we were not scoring points AND Campbell was playing well. According to multiple sources, the offense was leaving TDs on the table on deep post patterns where Campbell was getting drilled just before the release.
This year, Campbell's been part of the problem. Which, IMO, is good. Because if he can trust the line, start digging out of that hole tonight, we can get back to where our offense was in the middle of last year. And with our current DL, that can win games.
I'm not saying anything will get better on offense, as this could just be the depressing ending to the Cerrato/Zorn/Campbell era. I'm just saying that there's a chance our OL could get back to playing well, even without Chris Samuels, and that the effects might be visible throughout the offense.
