Let me also say that Snyder is plenty embarrassed by what's going on right now. The latest move banning signs inside the stadium has already backfired and has had unintended consequences. Every media outlet has picked up this story and is running with it non stop, reinforcing the perception that Snyder is all about Snyder.

The thing is this ain't Detroit or Cleveland folks. People expect those teams to be bad and won't give a second thought about going to the playoffs better yet the Super Bowl. The Redskins, on the other hand, are a proud franchise with very loyal and proud fans, and a very proud city. We expect to win here. And after we're done winning, we hoist up our heroes and put them in the Hall of Fame. This is no ordinary decline by just another sports franchise.

But what adds insult to injury, at least in the minds of the fans, is that those franchises are bad, in part, because they don't live in markets where NFL franchises can thrive long term. Snyder has spent millions upon millions and has fielded a very mediocre product for ten years. It's not that the Redskins are bad, we're expensively bad!
