I think people seem to forget that not only is our pass protection shot to shit, but our line can't run block. So you're going to put a rook QB to get shell shocked in front of a shitty line, without a good running game? Great, I can't wait for next season.

That being said, I would take a tackle with the first round pick. If a good QB is available, I would pick him up in the 2nd round. I think we can pick up a good RB in the 4th round. Also, let's not forget that our problems won't be solved with one draft.

Personally, I'd try to sucker a team into giving me round picks for Portis or anyone else we can afford to lose and can garner some picks. But that would require a change in the FO, which I pray it happens.

Ah a guy with my line of thinking. Trade Portis for multiple picks. I would even consider trading Haynesworth during an uncapped year for possible multiple #1 picks. Even multiple second rounders would be acceptable to me for both guys(try to get 3 picks for Al if they are second or thirds). I know getting rid of Al right away sounds nuts, but if you want to rebuild a line relatively quickly that is what you need to do. The newbie that called us idiots did make an excellent point after the collective insult. We really are looking at a massive overhaul, and to me getting multiple picks fast is the way to do it. We then have room to draft a QB, some DBs, etc. Big Al is earning his keep for sure, but unless we can score points and find a way to win, his services are useless.
