I don't wish Clarett any ill will - I hope he has a long and productive career. I just doubt it is going to happen. The reason this thread was started was that (again) Maurice Clarett backed out of a predraft commitment where he could showcase his skills. The reason listed doesn't seem to be particularly valid - this course apparently makes "Battle of the Network Stars" look like boot camp (shout out joke for old people!). It seems more likely that Clarett, after a year of inactivity, doesn't want a direct comparison to draft-eligible athletes who are in playing shape. Nothing particularly wrong with that notion, but it is indicitive of a "me-first" attitude that he is accused of having.

Off the top of your head, name 5 players with similar attitudes that are elite in this league.

I got Moss, and his team appears to be willing to trade him.

Now try to name five talented players whose attitudes have kept them from succeeding.

It's a little bit easier, isn't it?
