Agree 100%. He's charismatic, funny, durable (never missed a game before this year), hard working, has glue for hands, is a perennial pro bowler, he's only 27 and is on a hall of fame pace numbers-wise. He's our best offensive player IMO. There is no downside to Chris Cooley at this point.

It would be hard to refuse a 1st and 3rd, but at the same time I think it's kind of moot to argue. I don't have stats in front of me, but when do teams trade a 1st and 3rd for a TE?

Yeah, Fred Davis has had a few solid games, and looks like he'll be very good. But we don't know what we're going to have going on with WRs next year. Tana and El could be gone. Kelly and Thomas are still largely unproven (although I think we've got something with DT). Let's keep two very good TE's for at least one more year. It can only help the passing game.
