im from Lancaster county, home of the ultra conservative republican. but the are a ton of backwards rednecks here, too. that's what your seeing. Pa. is a beautiful place, but the people as a whole aren't very friendly. you can definitely tell the difference once you cross the Mason Dixon line. maybe they are looking for work? and if everyone has the same mind set that you have, it could be entertaining
