I think situations like Rocky's can be bad for team chemistry. Rocky, who has contributed loyally for several years, really does not see much fruit for his labors. But (presumably) Dansby, who has never contributed anything to the Skins, walks in on day one making three times as much or whatever. As a team we have a history of not always rewarding loyal service.

I think we would be a better team if we rewarded from within more and rewarded outsiders less. Maybe Shanahallen will fix this situation over the long term. For this year, however, we will have such a turnover that such situations are unavoidable.

Things like this are happening all throughout the league.
