I would also try to trade Carter.

For your benefit, I don't need to be told to read something carefully and putting the entire post in bold doesn't make a difference to me.
Everyone in the top 5 wants to trade down (for several reasons), in the current environment it is very unlikely, so considering the scenario is most likely a waste of time.
We can disagree but trading Landry for a 3rd hurts the team and I don't see it happening. If we trade down, we aren't getting Berry. Mays, sure, but he isn't making it to the pick we would get for Landry so that is a net negative.
I don't think it makes any sense to trade Landry for a 3rd and pick a safety with our first pick. It just doesn't. Now if you keep Landry and pick Berry, I can live with that. It isn't what I want but Berry is an animal and if he is there at 4 he is arguably the most talented player on the board.
Tackle with the 2nd, ok. I would rather use the 1st on a tackle but that is fine.
Picking a guard with the aquired 3rd, ok. I don't think you can count on him to play in year one (see Chad Rinehart) but I want us to start taking the shotgun approach to drafting O-lineman.
I am fine with trading Carter. I think SmootSmack said we could get a 4th, maybe?
