The only one that I would've put up a fight for is Rock. El can nevevr step up to the number one spot in Santana's absence, nor could he legitimize his PR claim to fame. Randy Thomas is injured so often it doesn't matter anymore how great of a run blocker he used to be. Griffin's name isn't heard often enough to matter anymore. he had 70 tackles and 6 sacks 6 years ago and hasn't been CLOSE to that since as in the last 3 years he posted less than 30 solo tackles and less than 3 sacks. Smoot!?!? HA!!! The man swats balls like they're flys in his face. If all his ALMOST picks were ACTUAL picks, he'd have made the probowl this year. If I had to see him ALMOST make the pick that would've changed the game ONE MORE TIME i would go CRAZY!?!? And Betts's claim to fame was a half a season of good running when all of our o-line came back from injury. I wanted us to trade him for Sproles or something while people actually thought Betts was good, but we kept him and he hasn't been 'the man' ever since. In Portis absence, he never made me question why he wasn't #1.

ROCK on the other hand, is iffy to me. On the one side, he is not a legitimate threat as a load carrying HB and hasn't taking a KR to the house since 2006. He doesn't give the opposing team fear as a kick returner. That being said, he CONSISTANTLY gives us good field position and doesn't dance around and lose yards. He is good enough to do an NFL level job at any position we ever have put him in. I honestly dont' think we used him properly and that he would've excelled as a Brian Mitchell like 3rd down back! He has great hands and explosive change of direction and would be great if occasionaly used in the slot. Nobody can question his conmtribution to the team. I'll miss him, and though i would have kept him, i can see why he was released and I approve.
