But it all comes down to the bigger picture, Smoot was a good player and often would on a play or two during the game would turn in to a great corner...but the Skin's needed to turn around the days of fast players fast cash...it just hurts when it had to come at the expense of Smoot and Peirce, but if they keep doing so over the next couple of years we can shed the stigma of free agency disasters (money wise). And become the Redskins who win as a team. Gibbs is making the hard choices.

and as far as need for the draft? I would like to see the skins trade down and make use of several picks.
If one of the two wide outs are there when we pick then you have to ask yourself are they getting us to the playoffs in 2-3 years...I dont know? I am still a little gun shy at picking that high a wr. i remember Desmond Howard and Westbrook and Gardner who we want out in the worst way.
