I've driven drunk once, back when I was working at Target and me and a bunch of coworkers carpooled to a party at one of our coworkers' house and we all parked in the Target parking lot. I had to drive home from the Target parking lot to my house at 3 am (distance was about 3 miles) and I was trashed. Nothing happened that night but I regret it and before I quit drinking after New Years 2010 I always tried to make sure I could crash at whoevers' house I was drinking at or that we had a DD on hand to take everybody home.

Now that I quit drinking I always volunteer to be the DD when my friends go out drinking and I'm with them. It just felt wrong that night and I felt completely guilty about it.
