I guess i would be worried if i thought that McNabb was done, which i suspect is what you believe.
But, your question has been answered by the people that made the decision:

Donovan didn't do it. Kevin hasn't even tried yet. But at that point, it really became [a question of] one of them has a chance to lead us for the next eight to 10 years . . . one, who knows? One year? Four years? But a considerably shorter time."

"We weren't in a panic mode, because we could've waited another year and it could've played out that way - but if we waited a year, maybe there would've been much less market value for Donovan," Lurie said. "He wouldn't be under contract to us, so we probably would've had to franchise him to have market value."

"It wasn't an easy decision, just a slam dunk, for me," Reid said. "You've got to evaluate age and you've got to evaluate what's left in the tank, who has the upside and who doesn't. You want to make sure you got maximum value for your football team because I'm not into giving good players away. I don't want to do that.

"Brett Favre was the last big-time [quarterback] to go someplace, and Brett was a little bit older. Green Bay got a fourth-round pick for him, so if it was going to be Donovan McNabb, who I figured could probably pull the most for our organization, I wanted to make sure it was at least close to what he was worth."

ANother thing, if the guy only has one trusted WR in preseason practice thus far,
Well first i would have to agree with Keim that their is only 1 trusted WR in practice which i don't.
I've heard good reports about Moss, Williams, Galloway and Austin not to mention Cooley and Davis.

do you really think it is going to all of a sudden be hunky dory come Sept 12 unless the other guys step it up?
Now it seems you kinda switched the convo from being about McNabb to being about the receiving corps.
And yes i think its going to be fine because i don't think anything is wrong.
Its training camp in a new scheme with some new receivers and with a new QB there are gonna be growing pains.
Again, i'm not going to follow the word of 1 sports media dude.

If it is August 20 and media guys or fellow posters covering camp practice report the same things then you should worry.
Nope still won't be worried.
We're talking about Donovan McNabb dude not a journeyman or a rookie.
You're not going to erase his history because of a couple bad practices.

If we have preseason game performances ala the Zorn era worry like crazy
Nope not even then.
