1) Rhabdo is the same thing as saying "muscle breakdown". It happens when you exert yourself to the extreme, and worse when you're dehydrated. Happens to marathon runners all the time. 2) In the extreme, yes, it can affect the kidney. I'm certain Haynesworth was NOWHERE CLOSE to affecting his kidneys. His kidneys are completely normal and fine, trust me.
In the end, Haynesworth probably did have rhabdo (muscle breakdown). He muscles did probably hurt all over. But if he was in better shape (and well hydrated), this probably would not have happened. And he's trying to use this to blame his problems on someone else.
To the point, it may be time to start thinking about cutting him before he starts eating away at this team.

Nice. Good post. Thanks for the info Doc. Good to have a resident physician around. I had never heard of rhabdo before today, but after reading into it, you pretty much confirm what I found. It's a fancy way of saying muscle breakdown, and can be avoided if you drink plenty of fluids and are in shape for the task at hand.
The release of this whole rhabdo thing only makes him look worse, not better. He was so poorly hydrated and so unprepared for practice that he developed this issue after 10 minutes on the field earlier in the week? LOL.
What's funny is the team/Shanny said they had no idea about this rhabdo, which tells me that maybe someone in Al's camp floated this to make him maybe look better... ooops.
Just go away Albert. You're not gonna win this war. Your wallet may look fatter than your belly, but unless you toe Shanahan's line, you're gonna part ways with this organization looking every bit like the uber-douche you are.
