And while this isn't anything to panick about, the underlying and underreported story, in my opinion, is every little nick and bruise McNabb gets between now and whenever he signs an extension will impact for how long and for how much.

Belicheat has been lying on injury reports for the last 10 years. Excellent point regarding the contract ramifications. If he can't make it out of preseason healthy, McNabb certainly has less leverage to demand top QB dollars.
