Well, it has been a while, but here's an update.
Julia and I are engaged, although no date set because I don't want to stay in California...(and I was married for 12 years, so I'm not exactly eager to jumo back into that, I prefer to let some time go by.) Sure, San Diego weather is nice, but this place is just too expensive...especially with 2 kids. The kids adore me, and that's no surprise since their father really doesn't have a focus on them. He's always pawning them off, or ignoring them when they are around. The kids have had several injuries while with him, (including letting them play with a broke picture frame and both of them had to get stitches from the glass they were throwing at each other) but when they are with us, not a single injury. The girl is still tough for me. She is very head strong! But the boy is a blast. They both love me, but the boy hates it when I send him to his fathers house...he's begged me to stay. It breaks my heart to see him like that. I really wish the father would step it up and understand these kids love him even though they love me too.
