I know it's not likely related, but here is one other thought. When we cut LJ, and brought in a guy saying that ST was somewhat needed, I went hmmm. What if, we are throwing DT out there as trade bait? We certainly might get a 3rd rounder for him from some teams, who again are chasing potential.
Suppose the Rams traded a 3rd (very high probably) for DT, and we packaged that with our 2nd, for VJ.
