This is the thing about the NFL, it seems to want to breed mediocrity. The potential move to an 18 year season will decimate the talent pool over the long haul. Sure you could expand the draft, but really only players in the first three rounds are truly NFL grade. You might get a diamond in the rough in rounds 4-10(if they expand the draft), but you won't get good football. At this point I really don't see how the other divisions in the NFC are that much better than the NFC West. Detroit and Chicago both stink. The Vikes record wise suck. The South is the best with the Saints and the Hawks, but the Saints are not what they were last season. Our division is wide open, with a bunch of average teams duking it out. I wish I could honestly say we were better than average, but until we get consistent play on both sides of the ball we are average at best. Barring major injuries, I see the winner of the NFC South as the SB rep.
