my whole problem with this is he was never given a chance. you could see the hunger in him every time he touched the feild with special teams, i just don't know why he wasn't given an opportunity to get in there with the offense.

Every coach has their own way of doing things. Some coaches (aka not Mike Shanahan) will put a guy on the field despite attitude problems and questionable work ethic if he feels that guy is better than his other options.
Shanny on the other hand would rather let the less talented but harder working players play as their reward for being hard workers. It's the way it is, and you're probably not going to find many guys that agree with you. And besides, does it matter as long as we continue to win games? Winning games is the bottom line.
