Jansen's injury last summer was the single worst thing to happen to the Redskins team INCLUDING the arrival of and the playing time given to a washed-up Mark Brunell.

If Jansen plays in 2005 at 90% or better of what he was in 2003, this will be the best thing that will happen to the Redskins in 2005.

Last year, the blocking by tight ends and h-backs and running backs had to worry about what was coming at them from the left side and the right side and up the gut. With Jansen playing well - and Thomas playing as he usually does, most of the focus of these secndary blockers can be on the left side and up the gut. That will be a tremendous step forward for those players!
