Was he also the coach when we won against Miami? The Super Bowl was probably the reason they drafted Dan Marino the next year. They completed 4 passes all game. Since after halftime they had none (and only 2 first downs and 34 total yards), I guess we made a halftime adjustment! I remember I was watching with supporters for both teams. After Riggo scored we only had a 3 point lead with 10 minutes to play, but all the Miami supporters left because they knew they wouldn't score any more points! They scored their TDs on a 76-yard pass play on Miami's second series and a 98-yard KO return. (27-17 final score.)

Kelly was picked off 4 times, and Thomas, who led the league in yards from scrimmage, was held to 40 total yards. That game wasn't nearly as close at the 37-24 final score, with the Bills getting two TD's in garbage time after the Skins took a 37-10 lead going into the 4th quarter. I will always remember that defensive game plan as Petibon's Masterpiece.
