When you have to kick from that far, there are a lot of factors that the kicker has no control over. I am not saying he is great, but in reality, there is no kicker available that is any better right now. Maybe during the offseason they bring in some competition for him, but right now, he is the best we can have.

Thank you Scott! He's had 2 dome games, the rest were outdoors. Dome kickers that get at least 8 games indoors have a serious advantage statistically.
Actually, I'm saying he could be great. If Kubiak doesn't call that time out in Houston & that 52 yarder stands, we would be 6-4 & might not even have had this thread (no offense to those that agree w/the original poster).
