We're a few 3rd down conversions away from converting the fewest 3rd downs in the past 40 years in the NFL, that my friend is not good.
Our passing offense this year is worse then last year in all the meaningful metrics:
YPA, RZ conversion %, the already mentioned 3rd down conversion, QB rating, comp %.
If you think having more yards is more important then the other stats then we see offense very differently.
I would feel so much better if he steps it up down the stretch.
I was expecting McNabb/Kyle to at least match the passing game production from last year.

thats a good post right there. my main issue if we are comparing this year to last was that almost every passing play was no more than 3 yds from the LOS, with most yards (i think almost 70%) came from YAC, which placed JC way way ahead of the rest of the pack. plus all the garbage yards JC and our offense picked up last year. if a team was up by 2 scores by halftime, they were shutting it down in terms of agressiveness, playing conservative, making them march down the field offense.
with completion percentage, qb rating (which i stopped really considering) i think a dink and dunk offense gives you go numbers but where are you? right back to where we were before gibbs II after the 1st season, looking for an offense that can stretch the field to eliminate the 8 man box. enter lloyd and ARE.
we finally finally have a "stretch the field" passing attack after so many years of putting our run game against 8 man boxes, i like it. i see it as a step into the modern nfl offense.
woot woot posting on the weeknight!
