I agree about white on burgundy, I prefer that too, but the gold pants are great looking with the burg jerseys.
Nike used those on Oregon State's PC uniforms and it's a genius idea actually. It eliminated the effects of jersey tailoring and fitting issues that messes up the stripes or completely eliminates them on some players. It has gotten to the point where Brett Favre was the only active player with proper sleeve stripes.
Linemen espacially ruin the jerseys around the sleeves. Look how great Favre's sleeve stripes look. Now look at his teammates:
