Right football is still a just a sport so why are we saying it is appropriate to use profanity on national tv or during interviews? I don't care if they want to trash talk and celebrate or anything like that. I coach XC and track and field and I tell my athletes that profanity is a sign of a weak man. Is there a time and place for it? sure, but on a daily basis and all the time it gets to be a little much. I don't have sour grapes, I have no rooting interest what so ever in Rex Ryan, but I do think it is possible to have some edge as a team and a coach and not be classless.
