Shanahan has
not made the playoffs in
NINE of his 16 full seasons as head coach. That is less then half. That sucks! Fact.
Shanahan won his two SB's with a hall of fame Qb named Elway. Once Elway was gone old Shanhan was fired. Kicked to the curb! Fact. Ouch!
Reid in his career as an NFL head coach, has been much more consistent in fielding a winner than Shanahan. Fact.
There are shit coaches that won a SB by riding others coat tails, see Barry Switzer. Winning a SB does not make you exempt from sucking.
Look I am not siding with Reid nor am I putting down Shanahan. But lets not make Shanahan into more than he CURRENTLY is. Currently he is struggling coach of a struggling franchise.

I do not really care how great Shanahan was last century. Clinton Portis was great at one time too. That does not mean he is great now.
