Had foot surgery to repair a torn ligament and dislocation in my foot last Friday (it's called a lis franc dislocation).

Two screws and a cadaver ligament later - I've got a cast the size and weight of a cinderblock on my foot and it is staying there until next Wednesday. After that, I get a walking cast that I am not allowed to walk on for another 5 weeks. PLUS, since it's my right foot and I can't put weight on it, I can't drive until sometime in mid-April. Blechhhhh. Even after that, I have to wear the walking boot for another 5-6 weeks. Double blechh.

And finally, because misreading the medications (don't ask), I was without pain meds until Monday afternoon - I had the "make you drowsy" drugs, but not the "stop the pain meds". Made for an exciting weekend.
